Randy Otto Brings Winston Churchill to Life at the CCPA on Sun., May 26, 3:00 PM
CERRITOS, CA – The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) welcomes globally renowned leadership speaker and performance actor Randy Otto as Winston Churchill on Sunday, May 26 at 3:00 PM. Tickets to the show are $10.
Go back in time to autumn 1940 when Germany bombed the United Kingdom during World War II in what has become known as “The Blitz.” The one-man production RANDY OTTO AS WINSTON CHURCHILL: THE BLITZ recounts how Britain’s esteemed prime minister heroically led Britons to victory from a London rooftop. Otto captures Churchill's unwavering, audacious belief that if the British people were simply trusted with the truth – no matter how bad things got – they would only get stronger and more resilient. The performance follows Churchill’s courageous evolution from soldier to orator to one of the most beloved leaders and statesmen in history.
A financial advisor by day, Otto was first inspired by a university professor, who happened to overhear him mimic Churchill and urged him to study the leader’s life academically as well as fine-tune the act to bring Churchill to life. Since then, Otto has become a highly sought-after speaker. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Otto currently serves as Board President of Milwaukee’s International Churchill Society. He tours internationally with his original one-man plays – Winston Churchill: CEO; Churchill: The Blitz; Churchill: Man of the Century, Painting as a Pastime: Banishing the Black Dog, and Defending Liberty. At the core of all of Otto’s presentations is an emphasis on Churchill’s timeless leadership principles.
