MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS BY CHIP DAVIS, which features holiday classics and compositions from the Grammy winner’s groundbreaking Fresh Aire series, is still selling out shows after more than three decades. The production showcases festive tunes presented with state-of-the-art multimedia effects in an intimate setting.

Dubbed “18th Century Classical Rock,” Mannheim Steamroller’s music style is largely credited with establishing the New Age music genre. In 1984, the group released Mannheim Steamroller Christmas, an album that changed the sounds of Christmas. Already a multi-Platinum recording artist through Mannheim Steamroller’s Fresh Aire series, Davis decided to record an album of holiday music that combined the group’s signature mix of Renaissance instruments with Rock ‘n’ Roll beats. The resulting album was a runaway hit, and the band became one of the biggest-selling Christmas music acts in history, selling more than 40 million albums.

Mannheim Steamroller’s holiday albums have become synonymous with Christmas and continue to occupy Billboard’s seasonal charts every year. Davis has enjoyed four albums on Billboard’s Top 25: Mannheim Steamroller Christmas, A Fresh Aire Christmas, Christmas in the Aire, and Christmas Extraordinaire
